4 months : 132 days : 3,168 hours

My sweet little Paisley is 4 months old today! Its been quite a ride... and its getting easier and more fun every day (okay, maybe not easier and maybe not more fun EVERY day, but for the most part). She is precious, adorable, hilarious, sweet, snuggly, stylish and pure perfection.
Just a few facts about little Paisley Austin:

  • She talks all. the. time. I'm afraid we are going to have another talker in the house - poor Nate, he won't be able to get a word in between us.
  • She loves to laugh, and she smiles most of the time.
  • She isn't too crazy about tummy time, but is getting more tolerant of it every time.
  • She would rather stand than sit most of the time.
  • She hasn't rolled over yet, but she is really thinking about it. She gets on her side, but that one arm just won't let her go any farther.
  • When we go anywhere (especially shopping) she HAS to be out of her stroller. There is just too much going on that she must be a part of. This gets old quickly.
  • She weighs 13 pounds, 5 ounces and is 24 inches long (40th percentile in both).
  • She has found her screaming voice. She does it right before a meltdown, when she is hungry, when she wants attention, and sometimes just because she needs a good laugh.
She has a lot more going on, but its hard to think of things when you're forced to!
We went to the doctor for her 4 month shots today. She had 4 shots and one oral. She didn't handle this round of shots as well as her 2 months. She got a great report from the doctor. She was in very good spirits until that mean nurse came in with those needles. Our day was full of tylenol, naps, kisses and snuggles.
Dr. Schaefer said we can start solids anytime we want, but I don't think we will start any kind of fruits or veggies until after Christmas. Even then, we probably won't give her much of that until she is at least 6 months. We did try some rice cereal today just for the heck of it. She wasn't too impressed, but I'm okay with that.

Now for a few pictures:

Anyone have an opinion about who she looks like?

Now for a few pictures from Thanksgiving:

  1. I loved this post! All the pictures are, of course, adorable and either of those family pictures are framers! I can't believe she is already able to sit in her high chair! Give her hugs and kisses from her Aunt Staci!
